⏱️ The Clock — Where We Landed
Last bottom: Nov 21, 2022 · Last top: Oct 6, 2025 at $126,198
Bottom → Top: 1,050 days · Top → today: Day 362
Projected window: Oct 4 – Oct 17, 2026 — opens today
The cycle low: ~$58,000, June 2026 — set early, confirmed since
⚖️ n = 2, to the very end. We never pretended two cycles could name a date — only a range to watch. The range opens today, and the honest read is that Bitcoin beat it from above. The window became a date the cycle already cleared.
📊 The Final Signal Reading
Seven green. Zero amber. Zero red. The board that spent thirteen weeks split between hope and caution has, in its final reading, gone clean.
🧭 The Journey — Day 300 To Day 362
I launched this Clock on August 2, at Day 300, with Bitcoin in the mid-$60Ks, sentiment buried in fear, and one honest question: where are we in the cycle? Here’s the arc it tracked, Sunday by Sunday:
🔸 Day 300–321: the basing phase — MVRV in the green zone, the capitulation checklist filling in, the signals saying “bottom-territory” while the clock said “early” and the macro said “wait.”
🔸 Day 328–341: the breakout — August’s monthly close stamped the 50-month, the three confirmation flags went up one by one, and the fork began resolving: June’s $58K was the low.
🔸 Day 348–362: the arrival — Bitcoin cleared $80K, then $86K, posted its best September ever, the SEC opened the RIA custody door, and walked up to this window from an 8-month high.
The thesis the Clock carried from the start — bottom came early, institutions front-ran the pattern — is the one that played out. We watched the marker crawl toward the gold band for thirteen Sundays. Today it arrived.
⚖️ The Honest Close
Three things earn a final, honest word:
🐂 What went right: the framework held. It called the bottom-zone early, kept its head through the chop, and resolved bullish without ever overclaiming. The June low looks increasingly permanent.
🐻 What we never knew for sure: the deepest long-term holders never fully capitulated — the one caveat that stood all cycle. The bottom came shallow, which means it came gently, which means a classic deep-flush never arrived. Bullish, but worth remembering the Clock never got its “textbook” capitulation.
🎯 Why it’s right to retire this now: a bottom-watch tool has one job — watch for the bottom. The bottom is in. Keeping a countdown clock running past the event it was built to find would be theater. Better to close it cleanly, on the call it got right, and build the next idea for the next phase.
The Bottom Line — And The Sign-Off
Thirteen Sundays ago this Clock started counting toward a window, holding two ideas at once: that Bitcoin was likely near its bottom, and that two cycles could never prove it. Today the window opens — and Bitcoin enters it at $84,800, up from a $58K June low, carrying a record September, a confirmed trend flip, and a freshly opened institutional door. The bottom is in. The countdown did its job.
So the Cycle Clock retires here, at Day 362, on the call it was built to make. Thank you for reading it every Sunday through the fear and the chop and the breakout. Next Sunday, something new takes this slot — built for the climb ahead, not the bottom behind. The bear is over. The watch is complete.
Stack sats. Stack self-awareness. Both compound.
