🔵 ETH: $2,235 (-7.8%) ⚠️

The Line: back testing the 200-day (~$76,500) — the level that’s held every close since the hack
Tomorrow: nonfarm payrolls + a $2.65B options expiry (max pain $79K); firm jobless claims (189K) revived December-hike bets

⚓ Three Bitcoin Stories That Defined Today
🔗 GUILT BY ASSOCIATION, AGAIN. Per Yahoo/Motley Fool: Bitcoin didn’t do anything wrong today — it got dragged down by the company it keeps. A broad Wall Street rout (Dow −1,800, Nasdaq into correction, the S&P’s worst session in ~18 months, VIX up ~70%) on an AI-stock meltdown spilled straight into crypto, erasing the entire post-election rally. There was no Bitcoin-specific bad news; it fell purely because it’s currently lumped in with tech/risk assets, and when that crowd cratered, BTC went with it. The asset’s near-term fate is still tied to the mood of the room it’s trading in — and today that room panicked over AI valuations, not Bitcoin.
🎢 THE RALLY THAT COULDN’T HOLD THE CLOSE. Per Ted Pillows: yesterday’s picture-perfect $80K reclaim failed to confirm — BTC lost the $79,800 floor it had just regained and slid under $79K, then $76K, as the stock selloff hit. It’s the honest flip side of last night’s optimism: a strong single candle isn’t a trend until it holds, and this one didn’t survive contact with a bad macro day. The recovery relationship was real but fragile — one tough day from its volatile partner and it unwound. The 200-day is now being tested again; whether it holds the close tonight is the whole question into tomorrow’s jobs data.
⚠️ A HEAVY FRIDAY SETUP. Per CryptoTicker: tomorrow stacks two catalysts onto an already-shaky tape — nonfarm payrolls (with firm jobless claims already nudging December-hike odds up) and a $2.65B options expiry (max pain ~$79K, skewed toward calls). After a week of whipsaws, the market heads into Friday leaning on its last strong line with fresh macro tests incoming. The near-term direction is now hostage to external relationships — the jobs print, the Fed path, the stock market’s mood — far more than anything happening inside Bitcoin itself. Brace for a volatile close to the week.

Your keys. Your coins. No single point of failure.
On a day Bitcoin got whipsawed by a stock-market meltdown it had nothing to do with, the steadiest move is the one that ignores the noise: hold your own coins and ride it out. Bitkey is self-custody done right — a 2-of-3 setup across your phone, a hardware device, and a recovery key, so you hold through every macro swing, no exchange to trust, no single seed to lose. When the market panics over things that aren’t Bitcoin, self-custody lets you simply hold.
Not financial advice. Just your keys, your coins — done safely. 🗝️
🌅 THE THURSDAY THOUGHT — RELATIONSHIPS (PM EDITION)
You Absorb The State Of Those Around You
Bitcoin had a fine day of its own — and still got hammered, because the market it’s tied to had its worst day in 18 months. It absorbed someone else’s bad day. That’s not a market quirk; it’s one of the most reliable facts about human relationships: you take on the emotional state of the people you’re closest to, whether or not their mood has anything to do with you. Your partner’s stressful day becomes tension at your dinner table. A friend’s anxiety becomes your unease. We are emotional conductors, constantly picking up the charge of the people in our room.
This matters in two directions, and both are worth owning. First, inward: when you suddenly feel off — heavy, anxious, irritable — it’s worth asking whether the feeling is even yours, or whether you’ve absorbed it from someone close whose hard day bled into you. Naming it (”this is their stress, caught — not mine, generated”) can hand you back your own state. Second, outward: you are also the person whose mood others absorb. Your bad day doesn’t stay contained to you; it radiates to everyone in your room, exactly as the market’s panic radiated into an asset that did nothing to deserve it. That’s not a reason for shame — it’s a reason for awareness: to notice when you’re broadcasting a charge, and to choose, where you can, to be a source of steadiness rather than contagion. Oprah’s line is the aspiration; the mechanism beneath it is this transfer of state. Surround yourself with people who lift you — and be mindful of the charge you’re putting into the room yourself.
Tonight, check the emotional charge in your closest relationships — both the one you’re absorbing, and the one you’re giving off.
🔌 You absorb the emotional state of those closest to you — merited or not.
🪞 When you feel off, ask: is this mine, or caught from someone’s room?
⚓ You’re also the broadcast — choose to be steadiness, not contagion.
Bitcoin absorbed Wall Street’s bad day. Notice what you’re absorbing from your people — and what you’re broadcasting to them. ⚓
🎯 Your Move
One question: When you last felt suddenly “off” for no clear reason — was that feeling actually yours, or did you absorb it from someone close whose hard day bled into your room?
One challenge tonight: Do a quick two-way check. Inward: name one heavy feeling you may have caught from someone rather than generated — and hand it back. Outward: notice the charge you’ve been broadcasting to the people closest to you this week, and if it’s been tense, deliberately bring steadiness into your next interaction instead. You conduct the room both ways. Choose the current.
Stack sats. Stack self-awareness. Both compound.
