[Teaser Preview] The Factory is being built. Get your opinions ready.
No, not a data center or some kind of Upton Sinclair meat-packing Jungle. No, this Factory will be fun. Opinions: debated, published and quantified. Get your $10 referral!
Most tech podcasts are the same show wearing different logos: a couple of people agreeing with each or talking through the same themes across myriad shows each week. Nobody’s actually on the hook for their opinion.
The Factory is creating something different.
Each week a guest defends one specific, arguable thesis — a written piece and a podcast, not always in that order. Then we put their argument to a public vote.
That’s what the Factory is for. Most opinion markets are just users throwing questions into the void with no context behind them. Ours come straight out of an argument someone was willing to put their name on.
First up: Global Stake team members Thomas Chaffee and Wyatt Clancy, arguing that crypto staking needs real institutional rules and guidelines to succeed.
The first opinion piece goes live tomorrow, Saturday, August 1 at 11 am ET. A few hours later, we open the live market on Fact Machine.
Has regulation helped or hurt crypto? [wording could slightly change for the market tomorrow]
You’ve got 24 hours — Saturday to Sunday — to stake your position on Chaffee’s argument before the market closes and the crowd’s verdict is locked in. We’ll then drop the podcast on Sunday.
DCN readers will get $10 to start trading when they sign up with the referral we’ll share. Full details in tomorrow’s op-ed release.
Article live Saturday, 11am ET. Market opens 1pm ET.
New market, new argument, every weekend from here on out. This is the first one.
